The Farm to Family Fund is committed to supporting the local food system and helping to get healthful food to those who have difficulty accessing this food. In 2023, we purchased over $335,000 worth of food at half price to distribute to our partner agencies, paying farmers more than $167,500.

In November 2023, we began our 11th year at the Bloomington Winter Farmers’ Market.

Please help us continue our work. Donate online or send a check to Farm to Family Fund, PO Box 1771, Bloomington, IN 47402

The Farm to Family Fund is designed both to make healthful, sustainably produced food more available to low-income households and to support our local, sustainable food system, especially our farmers who take the risk of producing food during the winter months. At the close of Bloomington farmers’ markets, we purchase produce, eggs, and dairy that farmers wish to sell at half price. This food is donated to The Rise, the Community Kitchen of Monroe County, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, Pantry 279, and Hoosier Hills Food Bank.

With separate funding from the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County, Farm to Family matches SNAP purchases at the winter market and at Bloomington Farm Stop Collective, and purchases food at the Farm Stop for meals at Beacon, Inc.

To donate, use the Donate button on the right, or mail a check to Farm to Family Fund, PO Box 1771, Bloomington, IN 47402.

THANK YOU to the many community members, Bloomingfoods Positive Change program, Better Way Foundation, and the City of Bloomington Jack Hopkins Social Services grant for helping us make our $25,000 challenge between May and October 2023!
